Our clients are owners of a family-owned business and were gearing up for retirement. They were planning to build their dream home and came to us to help with their cabinets. Not only were the clients building this home themselves but the husband-and-wife team had an idea of the look they wanted in the home but didn’t know how to mesh them together. She really wanted a mix of wood and white shaker; he wanted all wood in their kitchen and dining room.

She fell in love with the inset cabinet display we have in our showroom, so Rick worked with them to realize both of their dreams by creating a kitchen with inset cabinets in a cherry wood and added glass in some of the cabinets to create that “light and bright” feel without adding white to the kitchen.

In the laundry and bathrooms, they used DeWils Fenix Laminate in Bianco Male (white) which features nanotechnology for extreme durability. He added character to the master bath by bumping the seating area out a bit.

Finally, he combined both of their styles in the combination mudroom and pantry by using both materials. The small mudroom nook with the coat hooks and cubbies was especially fun.
